Senior Carer (Days) | Elderly Nursing Home | Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Rate: £13.60 per hour (Potential earning £25,459 per annum)
Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Qualification: Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
Hours: 07:00am – 07:00pm (Shifts)
Shifts:
- Week 1: 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Week 2: 3 x 12-hour shifts (including alternative weekends)
Contracted Hours: 36 hours per week
Sponsorship: This role does not offer sponsorship.
Remit
Compass Associates are working with a valued client who have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Carer to join their well-performing nursing home located in the Ellesmere Port, Cheshire area.
The home provides a range of care services including Respite, Residential, and Nursing Care.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience working within a residential or nursing home at a senior level, with the ability to lead, support, and motivate a team of carers while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The Candidate
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Assistant seeking a new challenge in a supportive environment. You will need to have a strong leadership background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for elderly and dementia care.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in health and social care, with at least 2 years in a care home setting
Proven experience working at a senior level in a care home
Competent IT skills including MS Word and Outlook (Essential)
Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care, or equivalent (Essential)

- Stage 1 – Informal chat with the Home Manager
Location
This role is based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire and is easily commutable from Chester, Birkenhead, Wrexham, Neston, Runcorn, Liverpool, and surrounding areas.
