Overview

Compass Associates is pleased to partner with a specialist provider of high-quality residential care for vulnerable children and young people in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate deputy to take on a new challenge!

Support Worker role is pivotal to ensure that all Children needs are met while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to high standards of care, and a passion for improving the lives of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £27,500 - £31,700 depending on experience, + a range of performance-related bonuses / £50 per sleep-in
• Holiday Entitlement: 28 days gradually to 32 days after 4 years of service + additional 3.5 days of leave (birthday, health & wellbeing day, festive celebrations)

Key Responsibilities

• Helping to facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives.
• Ensuring their health and wellbeing by safeguarding them at all times
• Meeting a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support
• Supporting the wider team with a range of domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping
• Creating timetables, managing paperwork and writing reports

Ideal Candidate Profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
• Caring, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships with others
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
