Overview:

Compass Associates are proud to be working alongside a well-established and growing UK care provider to recruit an experienced Home Manager for a large, luxury specialist care home in Gravesend, Kent.

The home supports residents with advanced dementia and complex co-morbidities, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions and behaviours that may challenge.

This is a significant leadership opportunity for an experienced CQC Registered Home Manager with a dementia care background to take ownership of an established service, drive improvements in quality and governance, and strengthen team performance. The successful candidate will provide visible, decisive leadership, working alongside an existing Deputy Manager and reporting directly to the Regional Director.

Location:

The position is based at a large specialist dementia care home in Gravesend, Kent.

Working Pattern:

Full-time (40 hours per week), permanent Home Manager position.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a visible and hands-on leadership presence across the home, maintaining oversight of care delivery, operational performance and the wider management team.

Criteria:

• Previous experience holding a CQC registration
• Strong and demonstrable experience within dementia care is essential.
• Experience managing a sizeable care home or complex service, ideally with a similar level of operational responsibility.
• A proven track record of improving service quality, governance, regulatory compliance and overall performance.
• Strong understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding, clinical governance and quality assurance.
• Confident leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams, address underperformance and establish clear standards and accountability.
• Strong commercial awareness, including occupancy, staffing and operational performance.

A nursing qualification is not essential for this position. Candidates from a non-nursing background with substantial dementia care leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

An RMN qualification would be particularly advantageous, given the complexity of some residents' needs.

Salary and Benefits:

This Home Manager position offers a salary of £100,000–£120,000+ per annum, depending on experience, alongside the following benefits:
