Lead Bid Writer – Learning Disability Care

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of writing bids and preparing documentation and presentations to a high standard in the adult learning disability care sector.
  • Proven track record in delivering and submitting successful tenders/bids in the learning disability care sector.

 

Compass Associates are proud to be exclusively partnering with an leading nonprofit learning disability care provider to recruit a Lead Bid Writer who can lead on the creation of compelling, high-quality written content that supports business development and secures new opportunities, supporting the growth of the organisation as a whole.

 

The Role

The Lead Bid Writer will be responsible for managing business opportunities and tender procurement processes that achieve this well-established employer’s strategic growth aims, supporting with the development of existing opportunities and the acquisition of new business.

 

Duties

  • Proactively identify and assess growth opportunities through tender portals, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals and annual business objectives.
  • Lead the development, writing, and submission of tender responses for publicised contract opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across operations and central departments to deliver high-quality, fully completed tender submissions.
  • Undertake targeted projects that enhance the organisation’s competitive positioning and capacity to deliver high-quality, professional services.
  • Review service contracts to identify potential risks or concerns, and work with operational teams to evaluate and address any resulting implications.

 

The Candidate

Prospective applicants must possess a strong working knowledge of the social care sector, alongside a comprehensive understanding of procurement processes, particularly online tendering methods. Candidates must be well-versed in the current and emerging challenges facing the adult social care sector and be able to provide insight into a range of service areas, including residential, supported living, and outreach services. Your approach should be grounded in a genuine belief in the principles and values, with a strong commitment to promoting equality, embracing diversity, and empowering individuals.

 

Interview Process

  • A single stage interview process, preceded by a writing task.
