Compass Associates are working with a well-established elderly care provider to recruit a Senior Nurse for a reputable nursing home located in Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
This position is ideal for an experienced Nurse looking to step into a senior role or an existing Senior/Charge Nurse seeking a stable, well-supported environment.
The Role
As the Senior Nurse, you will play an integral role in overseeing the clinical standards within the home. You will be responsible for leading shifts, supervising care staff, supporting junior nurses, and ensuring residents receive safe, effective, person-centred care. The role also includes some supernumerary hours each week to support quality, governance, and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate clinical delivery on shift to ensure high-quality care

Supervise, mentor, and support care and nursing staff

Assist with internal and external recruitment processes

Support the induction and onboarding of new staff

Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, and documentation

Promote best practice in safeguarding, medication management, and clinical compliance

Contribute to the home’s ongoing quality improvement and regulatory standards
Shift Pattern & Contract

Location
This role is based in Chesham and is Commutable From Amersham, High Wycombe, Great Missenden, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Rickmansworth, Watford, Tring, Marlow, Princes Risborough, and surrounding areas.
Candidate Requirements

NMC-registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with valid PIN

Experience within elderly nursing homes (dementia or general nursing)

Confident managing staff and leading shifts

Strong clinical, organisational and communication skills

Passion for delivering high standards of person-centred care
Remuneration
