Overview
Compass Associates is thrilled to partner with one of the UK’s leading independent providers of mental health and well being services. Together, we are seeking a dynamic Hospital Director for a specialist low secure service for older males (50+) with a forensic background. This is a small, tight-knit service with just 13 beds, offering a unique leadership opportunity.
As Hospital Director, you will be responsible for the overall operational management of the service, ensuring its financial and operational performance. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing patient care, service registration, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the hospital’s operations, financial performance, and quality standards
• Lead and manage the Senior Management Team (SMT) in daily business operations
• Monitor performance against quality indicators and implement improvement strategies
• Ensure services are delivered efficiently, within budget, and meet performance targets
• Drive continuous improvement and manage change across the service
Key Requirements
• NMC registration or a relevant social care professional qualification
• Prior experience in a healthcare management role
• Proven track record of driving organisational change and continuous improvement
• Commercial accountability for cost control and financial performance
• Desirable experience in a similar setting, working with forensic mental health patients
• Clear DBS
Location
The service is conveniently located near Romford, offering excellent connectivity to Chelmsford, Enfield, Watford, and Cambridge.
