Compass Associates are supporting this year’s Care Home Open Week run by Championing Social Care
The Elderly Care team will be visiting care homes across the UK to offer their support during Care Home Open Week. From 16-22 June 2025, care homes across the UK will be opening their doors to the public to showcase the incredible work of the care sector and highlight the warm, welcoming environment they provide.
Some of the events taking place this year:
🚴♂️ Great British Care Cycle Relay – Going national! This year, the Great British Care Cycle Relay runs from 12-16 June, covering 500km across five UK nations and regions: Scotland, Wales, Yorkshire, East Midlands and the South East of England. Each day, cyclists will visit care homes along the route, building community connections and celebrating care. Registration is now open – no fee, no fundraising target, just a passion for cycling and social care!
🎶 This Year’s Theme: The Power of Music, partnered with Music for Dementia to bring exciting musical activities. Available from March, these will include: The Big Music Quiz – fun, downloadable resources, including picture rounds, music clips, and musical bingo! Sing-a-long Sessions – Free daily sing-a-longs on m4dRadio.com! Exclusive Theatre Access – Free tickets for care staff to see In Other Words, an award-winning play about dementia.
🎉 Glad to Care Joins the Celebration! Care Home Open Week is teaming up with Glad to Care to offer even more activity resources for care homes to enjoy.
Last year, 5,500+ care services participated, and they’re aiming even higher this year! Now is the time to get involved! Register now on the website and be part of this incredible event.
