Operations Manager – Children’s Residential Services
Location: Preston and surrounding areas 
Salary: Up to £65,000 + bonuses of up to £10,000 + car allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join a new growing division in the North West supporting operations and new children’s residential services as they expand. This is a newly created role to support expansion and provide additional operational cover as new homes open in the region. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Operational oversight of 3 children’s residential homes to begin with. 

  • Providing support across learning disability and complex care services

  • Working closely with the Service Director to support quality and growth

  • Supporting consistency, engagement, and staff development

  • Being visible across services and involved in day-to-day operations

  • Supporting with new service opening and growth across the region

Requirements:

  • Strong Ofsted knowledge and understanding of regulations 

  • Must had multi-site experience

  • Background in children’s services specifically in learning disabilities or complex needs

  • Child-centred, energetic, and passionate about working with children

  • Confident building strong working relationships at all levels

Interview process:

  • Informal introductory call with the Service Director 

  • Formal Teams interview with a panel of SLT  

  • Site visit to meet the staff and children
