Senior Care Assistant | Residential & Dementia Care | Chilwell, Nottingham
Salary: £13.91 per hour
Contract: 44 hours per week
Shifts: 11-hour shifts (1-hour unpaid break)
Patterns Available: Days or Nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join a welcoming residential care home in Chilwell. You will play a key role in supporting residents with daily living, leading the care team, and ensuring that every resident receives safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading and supervising the care team during your shift
Delivering high-quality personal care and supporting residents’ daily routines
Administering medication (if trained) and maintaining accurate records
Supporting residents with mobility, nutrition, hydration, and wellbeing
Ensuring care documentation is clear, compliant, and up to date
Promoting a warm, safe, and homely environment
Acting as a role model and supporting the development of junior staff
Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
Previous Senior Care Assistant experience (care home preferred)
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 desirable)
Confident leading a team and administering medication
Compassionate, reliable, and professional
Strong communicator with a genuine passion for quality care

The home is based in Chilwell, Nottingham and is easily commutable from, Beeston, Stapleford, Long Eaton, Wollaton, West Bridgford, Clifton, and surrounding Nottinghamshire areas.
